We try to offer our young people a varied programme including games, crafts, hiking, cooking, camps, friendship and most importantly #Skills for Life

As a Colony we encourage all Beavers to be kind and supportive. Many Beavers join with their school friends, but at meetings we encourage new and lasting friendships to develop. This is an important part of the 19th's mission.

Throughout term we play a variety of games, ranging from team sports like football and cricket, to indoor games such as 'human hungry hippos' and 'captains coming'. We are always happy to hear new game suggestions to add to our collection.

We aim to complete at least 3 badges per term. We have Activity badges which can often be completed in just 1 session, or we have Challenge badges which require more time and commitment. We aim to help all Beavers attain their Chief Scout Bronze award - the highest achievement a Beaver can receive.

During the year, we allow Beavers the opportunity to express their creative sides through different forms of art. These are often based around seasonal celebrations, including Mother's Day and Father's Day. These sessions can take the form of pottery painting, card making, cake decorating and many more.

Every year we go on a Troop summer camp, which includes all sections and Beavers are encouraged to come and join in. However, we also host an overnight Beaver camp in our hut grounds at least once a year, where we put up our own tents, cook over campfires, sing songs, and play games.
